…as Dr Mahmoud Alfa, Other Reject Offer

Lonely Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Adoza’s search for commissioners ended in vain as he was left with no other option but to convert Special Advisers to Commissioners.

The signs are clear, the message is so loud, the handwriting on the wall is readable that Yahaya Bello’s exit is imminent. This is made evident by the outright rejection of commissioner-ship offers by men of prowess, wherewithal and mental acumen in the state as they simply rejected what some may call the golden opportunity of serving their own state government in the capacity as commissioners.

So many people rejected the offer as the Governor was left with no option other than to convert his Advisers to Commissioners. Among those that turned down the offer was Dr Mahmoud Alfa who rejected the nomination as a result of the general opinions considering the illegality and abnormality that surrounded Bello’s emergence. This, a lot believe will amount to the waste of time aligning with a government that is is not only on its way out but lack vision and its unbecoming style of governance characterized with impunity, arrogance and massive corruption.

This development is strange and Bello’s camp is unsettled.

However, the impunity continues with the assistance of the federal might in supporting the illegality in Kogi State. Policemen have been chased from the House of Assembly Complex while armed soldiers protect the notorious five members to confirm the names of commissioners which is a clear abuse of power and impunity against the will of the people.

The troubled Government in Lugard House has divided the state Assembly and the peoples’ will is being subjugated as the cartel now runs a few men show as Government. The State House of Assembly is now in comatose and this height of atrocity is made possible with the support of some gullible characters who do not mean well for the state.
