As Christians globally celebrates Christmas which is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Permanent Secretary Office of the Deputy Governor Kogi State, Estate Surveyor and Valuer Zainab Obadaki-David has call on Christians faithfuls to imbibe the spirit of giving and servitude to God and man.
She craved their indulgence to pray for the peace, unity, progress and tranquility of Kogi state.
The Permanent Secretary gave the charge in her Christmas message to the people of Kogi state made available to journalist in Lokoja on Wednesday to commemorate the 2023 Christmas celebration in the state.
While thanking the outgoing governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his large heartedness and robust relationship with the Christians demonstrated generously with which he built the chapel in government house after denials by previous administrations.
“The magnanimity of your heart singled Your Excellency out as a unique and most outstanding Governor Kogi State ever produced. Thank you for being the driving force on the wheels of Kogi state to promised Land! I pray for you to live long and prosper more. You will remain relevant in and out of season!
“We also appreciate you for giving the state a worthy successor, the governor elect, Alh Ahmed Ododo Usman, whose heart is gentle and easy. The Governor-elect is undoubtedly ready to serve humanity and transform all the sectors of this historic state,” she said.
She also urged the Christian faithful to use the occasion of the Christmas celebration to pray for the incoming administration in the state for greater performance in the development of the state.
