The African Action Congress (AAC) has officially activated a full-scale political offensive across Kogi State, declaring its readiness to dismantle established political structures and deliver a decisive victory for the Omoyele Sowore/Magashi presidential ticket alongside all state candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
The Kogi State Working Committee of the party confirmed the immediate commencement of a high-powered statewide tour spanning the three Senatorial Districts—Kogi East, Kogi West, and Kogi Central.
Speaking during an crucial strategy meeting convened in Lokoja, the State Chairman of the AAC, Comrade Emmanuel Yaba Monday, declared that the party is aggressively tightening its machinery to capture votes across every polling unit, ward, and Local Government Area in the confluence state.
Addressing party leaders, key candidates, and grassroots organizers, Comrade Monday revealed that the state executive committee is taking the AAC’s radical political agenda straight to the doorsteps of the electorate. He expressed absolute confidence in the rapidly expanding structures of the party across all 21 Local Government Areas, extending deep appreciation to local government chairmen and local leaders for their unwavering availability and dedication to the cause.
The state chairman asserted that the AAC is strategically positioning itself to secure total victory across all elective tiers in 2027, including the Presidential, Governorship, National Assembly, and State House of Assembly races. He noted that special focus and close coordination are already underway for targeted strongholds, specifically pinpointing the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency and the Yagba East State Constituency.
Unveiling the core drivers of the mobilization drive, Comrade Monday highlighted the transformative manifesto of the party’s presidential flagbearer, Omoyele Sowore. He emphasized that the Sowore policy blueprint offers a revolutionary shift focused on social justice, robust economic development, workers’ welfare, environmental protection, public accountability, and radically improved public services. He noted that under a Sowore/Magashi administration, Nigerians are guaranteed decent employment, accessible public healthcare, quality education, affordable housing, economic justice, and direct public benefit from the nation’s vast natural wealth.
Lending strong support to the statewide drive, key legislative contenders present at the Lokoja summit commended the state leadership for setting an aggressive pace. Hon. Philip Ojo, standard-bearer for the Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituency, alongside Hon. Saliu Ishaq (popularly known as “UNITED”), candidate for the Yagba East State House of Assembly, pledged total alignment with the state working committee.
Both candidates affirmed that the strategic session marks the catalyst for an unprecedented grassroots engagement campaign, promising to keep flying the AAC flag high to ensure maximum political dividend and development for the people of Okehi/Adavi and Yagba East.
