Yagba East: Ex-Councillor Congratulates Abdulwakil on Assumption of Office, Advocates for Open Govt

Hon Barnabas Ejuku Abiodun, a former Councilor of Yagba East local government council has congratulated the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, Hon. Sule Abdulwakil as he resumed office in the council.

In a congratulatory message made available to this news medium, Barnabas said that the massive turnout of people from different communities to Isanlu, the headquarter of Yagba East local government to welcome the new SSA was an indication that his choice is widely accepted and the perfect will of God for the people.

According to the former councillor, the reception which was graced by most of the relevant stakeholders in Yagba East polity, community development organizations, the local government workforce and well wishers.

He observed that Hon Wakil, whose personality interconnects the North East and South East administrative zones of the local government, makes him a bridge across the divides.

“Being a bonafide indigene of Ilafin Isanlu with maternal and spousal links to Oke-Oyi, Abdulwakil may be the bridge for interconnectivity of the two zones in their subsequent political engagements.

“I urge him to explore the expediences of his dual personality in Yagba East to foster peace, development and unity among the indigenous people while performing his duty with due diligence and with utmost regard to the needs of the people. 

“I call on him to carry out needs assessment analysis of all the 10 wards in the local government for effective delivery of governance and key into the Open Government Partnership programme of the federal government to carry the people along in the art of governance,” he said.
