The Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters for Dekina local government, Prince Ishaq Shaibu Okolo has called on youth to abstain from drug abuse and criminal activities.
Ishaq made the call in Dekina on Tuesday during a mass raid of merchants of prohibited drugs in the area.
The former local government Administrator assured that his war against drug abuse will be sustained in Dekina.
Ishaq, alongside security agents, raided sales outlets where youths purchase prohibited drugs like Tramadol, Indian hemp and Codeine. Sellers and buyers were arrested and handed over to law enforcement agencies for appropriate actions.
He explained that his war against drug abuse is aimed at stemming the tide of immoral and criminal activities that these drugs push the younger generation into.
He promised to root out bad elements completely from his domain.
