The Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN) has praised the Federal Government for the resuscitation of the Ajaokuta Thermal Power Plant in Kogi State which it said has started contributing 10 megawatts to the national grid from Sunday night.
President of the union, Comrade Otori M. Saliu told our reporter in a telephone conversation that the feat was achieved by the “wise mixture” of Nigerian professional insiders and Ukrainian experts following the departure of Global Infrastructure.
Saliu said “The plant is now working even with zero allocation Ajaokuta power plant has come to life. That is why we have been making case for people within the system to be allowed to handle it.”
