The member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims has commiserated with the families, people and government of Ankpa Local Government Area over an unfortunate accident that turned into an inferno at Alor in Ankpa, on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by Comrade Muhammed Nasiru, the Coordinator of Information, Visual and Strategic (IVS) Operations to the Federal lawmaker, Halims condoled with the people and government of Kogi State as the disaster claimed several lives and property.
Halims described the incident as very unfortunate, tragic, devastating and sad to behold but maintained that none can question the will of almighty Allah.
The Federal lawmaker appealed to the immediate family and friends of the victims to take solace in the fact that God gives and take life stressing that when the appointed time dawns on any soul, it can neither be delayed nor extended for a second.
He thereafter prayed to almighty God to accept the souls of all faithfully departed, comfort their families and give all the fortitude to bear the loss.
