Prince Iyodo Hails Judgment Extending Igala Land to Lokoja, Ajaokuta

Ogohi Attah Igala, Prince Inuwa Iyodo has hailed the High Court verdict confirming the extension of Igala Kingdom to the state capital, Lokoja and other areas in the state.

In a message to Attah Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II, Prince Iyodo, who is the grandson of former Attah Igala, Ocheje Onokpa, congratulated the people of Igala kingdom.

Iyodo, an Ambassador of the Attah in Egume, noted that with the judgement, Lokoja, Ajaokuta and Koton-Karfe has been re-united with their brothers and sisters in Igala land.

“The judgment is symbolic of what is to come and will go down in the history of your reign and indeed the Igala Kingdom. It will reposition the Igala race for leadership roles.

“Your subjects worldwide are rejoicing with you on this historic court verdict. This has further confirmed the position that providence had also bestowed on you as the Chairman of the Kogi State Traditional Council; implying that the entire Kogi State which encompasses your expanded traditional domain remain under your care. This offers another opportunity for you to see all as your children over who you must rule with fairness, equity and the fear of God so that peace may endure on our land,” he said.

Prince Iyodo urged subjects across the world to give the Attah of Igala Kingdom their maximum co-operation and always remember him in their prayers.

He expressed happiness at the fulfillment of age-long predictions that history will be corrected. He called for efforts to unite the people of the race.
