Determined to complement the state government’s efforts in educational development across Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakubu Oseni has fulfilled one of his campaign promises by building blocks of classrooms in RCM/LSMB Primary School Upogoro, Okene LGA Kogi State.
The ground breaking ceremony of the project was done yesterday in Okene with a charge on the contractor to deliver timely according to specification.
Senator Oseni who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT/Cybercrime reiterated that no Kogi Central constituency project would be left unimplemented during his reign as representative of the Senatorial zone, adding that educational development is a top priority in his agenda.
The lawmaker who was represented by Abdullahi AbdulMalik emphasized that no local government within the control of the Senator will be sidelined in the empowerment schemes targeted at the youths and women which would be unfolded in phases.
The chairman, Central Working Committee (CWC) Comr. Abdulmalik, Political Adviser to Senator Oseni, Comr. Sule INEC, along with other executive members and community representatives as well were equally at the venue to witness the site clearing, digging and laying of the first block.
The chairman appreciated Senator Oseni for keeping to his campaign promises just as the Political Adviser described the effort to improve the quality of education, noting that it is the key to success and improvement of moral standard in the society.
They further charged the Contractor, Engr. Anas to discharge the project with high level of professionalism for the benefit of the society.
The ward chairman ably represented by Comr. Hussein thanked the lawmaker for the edifice, just as he expressed optimism that the community would get more of dividends of democracy through Senator Yakubu Oseni.
