Former Kogi State Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Ohere, has been appointed as the new Kogi State Coordinator of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), replacing former coordinator and member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Idris David Zacharias.
Ohere’s appointment is part of efforts to further strengthen the movement’s grassroots mobilisation and political engagement across Kogi State. He was appointed based on his track record in grassroots mobilisation, political engagement and extensive network across the state.
Also appointed alongside Ohere is Hon. Idris Oando, who will serve as Deputy Kogi State Coordinator, while the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, has been appointed Director of Liaison, North Central.
Presenting the appointment letters at the RTIFN office in Maitama, Abuja, the Director-General of the movement, Amb. Ahmed Bala, charged the newly appointed officials to justify the confidence reposed in them and deploy their experience and networks toward strengthening RTIFN structures across Kogi State and the North Central region.
The development follows the recent political realignment involving Hon. Idris Zacharias, who has moved to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pursue his political ambitions, including a bid for another term in the House of Representatives.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by former Kogi State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Edward Onoja; Zack Orji; Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade; and other national and state officials of RTIFN.
Meanwhile, 12 October 2026 has been fixed for the official inauguration of the new Kogi State RTIFN leadership, alongside a Town Hall and Stakeholders’ Engagement in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The event is expected to bring together RTIFN leaders, political stakeholders, community leaders, coordinators, youth and women groups, and other grassroots stakeholders as the movement commences a new phase of engagement across Kogi State.
The new leadership is expected to commence engagements with stakeholders and grassroots structures across the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State, while strengthening the movement’s coordination and presence within the North Central region.
