The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogugu State Constituency in the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election, Hon. Michael Samuel Idoko, has felicitated with Hon. Engineer Sunday Peter on his birthday, describing him as a committed community leader and philanthropist whose interventions have continued to positively impact lives across Ogugu Constituency.
Idoko, who spoke on behalf of the Ogugu Constituency PDP family, said the occasion offered an opportunity to celebrate not only the celebrant’s birthday but also his contributions to community development, youth empowerment and the welfare of the people.
In a congratulatory message, the PDP candidate specifically commended Sunday Peter for his interventions in the provision of motorised boreholes across communities in Ogugu Ward 2, noting that access to potable water remains a critical component of grassroots development.
He also applauded the celebrant for creating employment opportunities for Ogugu sons and daughters, as well as providing support to individuals, families and communities through various philanthropic initiatives.
Idoko said the impact of Sunday Peter’s interventions was reflected in the practical assistance reaching ordinary people across the constituency.

The PDP candidate noted that the provision of motorised boreholes across Ogugu Ward 2 and other communities represented a meaningful intervention with direct implications for the wellbeing of residents.
“Water is life. When a community gains access to reliable potable water, the impact goes beyond the availability of water itself. It improves hygiene, supports households and contributes significantly to the wellbeing of the people. We appreciate Engineer Sunday Peter for recognising this need and responding to it,” he said.
