Kogi Governor Redeploys Two Council Chiefs

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has redeployed the Senior Special Assistants on Security Matters in charge of Yagba East and Yagba East local government areas.

In a statement issued by the secretary to the state government, Dr Folashade Ayoade, new helmsmen have been appointed to replace the former council security chiefs.

Former security aide in charge of Yagba East, Sule Abdulwakil has been re-assigned with a new portfolio, senior special assistant to the governor on culture and tourism. His former counterpart in Yagba West, Oshaloto Tade is now senior special assistant on grassroot mobilization for Yagba Federal constituency.

As replacements, Governor Bello appointed Mr. Pius Kolawole and Mr. Arogundade Festus Dare as senior special assistants on security matters for Yagba West and Yagba East respectively.

The statement also confirmed that Governor Bello has approved the appointment of Alhaji Samari Teina Abdulmalik as the Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund.

Teina was appointed to replace late Alhaji Siyaka Oyibo.

Likewise, Mrs. Avoyi Barikisu Nwogu has been appointed as SSA Electronic Media to the Governor.

All appointments and redeployment takes immediate effect.
