Ambassador Rufus B. Aiyenigba, the Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu, Kogi State-born socio-political development consultant was on Wednesday re-elected for a new four year term as the National Publicity Secretary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
The new mandate was given to Ambassador Aiyenigba via a resounding YES voice vote by the delegates of the party at the 2022 National Convention and Presidential Primaries which held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The party elected new national officers who were inaugurated at the convention.
Also, popular media entrepreneur and lawyer, Prince Adewole Adebayo, founder of KAFTAN Television emerged as the party’s presidential candidate.
Ambassador Aiyenigba was appointed as National Publicity Secretary of the party on April 15, 2022, and the appointment got ratified by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party on March 22, 2022.
He is currently the Deputy County Director, Democracy for Africa Program, DfAP.
