International Children’s Day: APGA Governorship Candidate Congratulates Kogi Children, Promise to Protect Child Right

As children in Kogi State join their counterparts in the world to commemorate this year’s Children’s Day, gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Idoko Ilonah has congratulated them on the celebration.

Mr. Ilonah, who made the remark in a statement sent to Journalist in Lokoja, said children as special heritage from God that bring happiness to any home they are.

The governorship candidate said as a Father, he shares in the joy of children on a day like this, describing them as leaders of tomorrow.

He said he has good intention for children as his manifestoes entails provision of free education for children from primary to secondary schools if elected.

Mr. Ilonah also hinted his resolve to implement the Child Right Act especially protection of the rights of children when voted into power.

“Our vision is very clear, for our children, they are special gifts from God and our plan is to give them free education from basic to secondary schools. You know, if you education a child, you’re gradually bringing the country out of ignorance because education is powerful.”
