It appears our politics is becoming an Ali Baba one, whereby only ‘GOOD’ people (by that l mean people in government and those enjoying government patronage) can see all the positive signs and dividends of democracy.
Let them continue to change the marking scheme as much as they like in assessing their performance in office. It is all good, if it makes them feel good.
Our people are still hungry, our roads are terrible, access to potable water limited and generally our people economically down. Our collective intelligence is being debased with their innocuous claims to performance.
Their present claims amount to telling us this dog we are all seeing clearly is a monkey. That is nothing but political masturbation. It makes some people feel good. And there is no law that says we cannot feel happy on empty and unfulfilled campaign promises, especially as the 2019 elections is around the corner. This is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
But when the present political actors in Kogi State are placed on oath in the court of the people and asked to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, will they be able to swear they have done right for the majority?
This laughable attempt at justifying a second term agenda is definitely not only ridiculous but annoying.
