The Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. (Mall) Abdulrazaq Muhammad has congratulated Alh. Yakubu Oseni and Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa on their well deserved victories as Senator for Kogi Central and Member Representing Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency respectively on the platform of All Progressive Congress, (APC).
In a Press Statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Abdulmumin Abubakar, Engr. Abdulrazaq congratulated and commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello for his leadership role by providing enabling environment for the peaceful conduct of the poll.
He noted with delight that, the people of Okene Local Government reciprocate the governor’s good leadership by coming out in their large numbers to vote for APC at all levels and won convincingly in all the eleven wards despite the presence of opposition PDP candidate who is also the incumbent Senator, Hon. Ahmed Ogembe.
The Council Administrator assured the people that government will continue to put their security and welfare as a matter of top priority more than ever before. He said, the duo of Alh. Yakubu Oseni and Hon. Tijani Damisa will surely fulfill their campaign promises to the people of Okene Local Government, which were anchored on job creation, women and youth empowerment, provision of social amenities and quality representation among others.
Engr. Abdulrazaq said he is convinced from the enthusiasm and jubilation among the electorates and party members at the declaration of Presidential and National Assembly results in Okene, that the impressive show by party supporters will again be repeated on 9th March, 2019 election for the Okene I and II State House of Assembly seats.
