Senator Isah Jibrin, popularly known as Echocho, representing Kogi East Senatorial District, has officially commenced the second phase of his solar streetlight initiative with the distribution of units to communities across Ogugu District in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The solar lights were received on behalf of the constituency by Hon. Emmanuel Joshua during a ceremony attended by community leaders and key local stakeholders. While speaking on the development, Hon. Joshua commended Senator Echocho for his unwavering commitment to regional progress and his dedication to delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the residents of Olamaboro. He noted that the senator’s various intervention projects continue to reinforce grassroots alignment and strengthen support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that the community remains resolute in supporting the President through the senator’s leadership.

In a related development, the lawmaker extended the solar lighting scheme to the Ikpakpala community, donating additional units specifically designated to illuminate worship centers, communal spaces, and major public gathering points. Receiving the facilities on behalf of the people, Alhaji Tijani AkpaMada expressed profound appreciation to the lawmaker, describing the gesture as a practical demonstration of responsive governance aimed at enhancing security and social life. He assured the senator of the community’s unalloyed backing in his legislative duties.

Furthering his infrastructure drive across the senatorial district, Senator Echocho has also flagged off the construction of modern open market shops at Alokoli and Odu Ofugo markets in Dekina Local Government Area. The commercial infrastructure projects are designed to boost local trade, provide structured facilities for small-scale merchants, and stimulate economic activity throughout Kogi East.

These concurrent initiatives form part of Senator Echocho’s broader constituency intervention strategy, which focuses on upgrading basic amenities, improving rural infrastructure, and fostering long-term economic development across the district.
