….Condoles family, associates, Kogi State Government and citizens
Deputy National Welfare Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. David Itopa, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. He described the former Governor’s death as a significant loss to Kogi State and Nigeria.
Itopa, in a condolence message, extended his heartfelt sympathies to the immediate family of the late former Governor, the Kogi State Government, and the people of Kogi State over the demise of the former political leader.
He described the late Governor Ibrahim Idris fondly called “Ibro” as a prominent Kogite whose years of public service left an enduring mark of good leadership on the political and developmental history of the State.
According to him, the death of the former Governor is a painful loss for the people of Kogi State, particularly those who knew and worked with him during his years in public service.
“On behalf of my family and myself, I extend my deepest condolences to the family of the late former Governor Ibrahim Idris, the Kogi State Government and the entire people of Kogi State.
“This is a moment of grief for all of us. The late former Governor was a significant figure in the history of our State, and his passing is a painful loss to Kogi State and Nigeria,” Itopa said.
Itopa urged the family and the Ibro political family to take solace in the memories of the deceased and his contributions to public service, while praying for strength and comfort for those he left behind.
He further prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the former Governor, accept his good deeds and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
“May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and admit him into Aljannah Firdaus. May Allah also grant his family, friends, associates, the Ibro political family and the entire people of Kogi State the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
