Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali has felicitated with Kogi people on the appointment and confirmation of Professor Stephen Ocheni as minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Senator’s media office, Aidoko described the new minister as a high networth technocrat and academician with proven professional and academic pedigree. He urged Kogi sons and daughters to rally round him.
He hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for choosing Ocheni as a replacement for late James Enejo Ocholi despite series of political fireworks.
Senator Aidoko urged the people of the state to close ranks and extend necessary support to the new minister to enable him succeed in the task of rebuilding the country instead of fanning unnecessary embers of discord which will not augur well for the development of the state.
The statement advised the new minister to settle down quickly and hit the ground running so as to achieve desired results.
He thanked the entire state and the people of Kogi East for their unwavering agitations that culminated into the appointment of the minister, Professor Stephen Ocheni.
