A onetime Commissioner for Health and Chieftain of All Progressive Congress(APC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba Ali has called on politicians in the state to put the interest of the State above any other by conducting themselves peacefully ahead of the November 16, 2019 governorship election.
Baba Ali made the appeal in a message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja to mark Eid-el-Fitir celebration
He urged Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to join hands towards overcoming the numerous challenges plaguing the nation
Ali particularly called on politicians to conduct themselves well for the peace and development of Nigeria, Kogi State and their various communities by engaging and encouraging peaceful campaigns ahead of November 16, governorship poll.
While commending the people of the State for the peaceful coexistence despite their different religious and ethnic backgrounds, he called on them to continue to pray for the peace and development of the State and Nigeria as a whole.
The Gabi of Lokoja enjoined Muslims to continue to exemplify the worthy life of Prophet Muhammad and extend same to adherents of other religions.
