The honorable member representing Ankpa II constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls of Ojoku/Enjema districts of Ankpa local government area of Kogi state, those of the state, Nation and around the world on the occasion of this year’s eid El fitr celebration.
In his Sallah message, the honorable member enjoined Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan and replicate same in their daily lives for a better society.
He also called on the Ummah not to be carried away by the merriments of the Sallah celebration but, instead, use the occasion for sober reflection and kind support to the needy in the society in other to ameliorate them of the present economic situation of the state and country at large.
Hon Rabiu further more emphasized the importance of peace, unity and tolerance amongst the diverse people of the state envisaging growth and development from a peaceful coexistence.
The message reads in part; “as we join the rest Muslim Ummah all over the world to celebrate this year’s Eid El-Fitr to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, I urge the good people of Ojoku and Enjema to show and demonstrate the lessons of fast, the virtues of sacrificing food for reward, piety, self-denial and genuine love towards one another as practiced during the one month- long fast.”
He rounded up by pledging his readiness to work assiduously in ensuring the commitment of Kogi seventh assembly towards initiating legislative processes that will help make life meaningful for his constituents and Kogites in general.
