He called on all well-meaning members of the public to shun rumor mongering and political shenanigans that can pull the state back.

“Having studied his landmark achievements in the last three years, I wish to state categorically without mincing words that our amiable Governor has performed beyond our expectations against all odds.

“It is noteworthy that he performed wonderfully well in the areas of security, infrastructure, education, health, agriculture, environment, management of economy and waste and sanitation management, youths and women empowerment over the last three years.

“I hereby commend his Excellency for laying the solid foundation for the economic revival and political stability of our dear state in the last three years. It is noteworthy that our amiable Governor is rightly on course and focused on the need to engender purposeful leadership and unity of the diverse religious and ethno centric diversity of our dear state.

“Against this background, I wish to call on all well-meaning members of the public and the citizenry to shun rumor mongering and political shenanigan and all other evil tendencies that would pull us back as a one united and indivisible entity called Kogi State. The time has come for us to shun primordial sentiments and the issue of pull him down syndrome that has been the bane of our state since its creation in 1991.

“At electioneering period that we have at hand calls for sober reflection and the spirit of patriotism and sportsmanship regardless of our different political affiliations. We should bear in mind that we are all brothers and sisters regardless of the different political parties we belong to because politics is not a do or die affair.

“To members of our great political party (APC), I wish to call on them to play politics by the rules and ensure a rancor free and non-violent election in the year 2019 starting from the presidential and senatorial election scheduled for February 16, 2019.

“As an astute politician and APC stalwart for Kogi central, I wish to seize this opportunity to call on all the electorates in the state to come out en-mass to give their votes to all APC candidates in the forth coming elections.

“Our security agents should do all within their power to ensure they provide adequate and watertight security before, during and after 2019 general elections. Our youths should shun the temptations to be recruited as political thugs by desperate politicians in the state. As our collective experience have shown over the years, thuggery and acts of criminality is an ill-wind that blows no one any good,” he said.
