2027 is not merely another election. It is a decision about Nigeria’s direction.
Nigerians must choose between moving forward with President Tinubu with courage, or returning to the mistakes that brought us here.
For years, Nigeria postponed difficult decisions. Problems were managed instead of solved. Unsustainable systems were preserved because reform was politically uncomfortable.
The consequences are ? A problem postponed yesterday became a bigger problem today.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms must therefore be judged honestly. Nigeria cannot build a new future by resurrecting an unsustainable past.
Fuel subsidy reform and foreign-exchange reform were difficult decisions. The question is whether we should abandon necessary reforms because they are painful or improve them and allow them time to deliver results.
Great nations are not built through perpetual policy reversals. They are built through continuity, consistency, discipline and patience.
Development takes time. Roads take years. Industries take years. Education reforms take years. Security reforms take years. Economies do not transform overnight.
So the 2027 election must not be about who shouts the loudest, it must be about: Who has a record?
Who has competence? Who has courage? Who understands the problems of Nigeria? Who has a credible plan for the future?
George Santayana warned that those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. Nigeria must remember the past; not to live in it, but to avoid repeating its mistakes.
We must remember the cost of policy inconsistency. We must remember the danger of postponing difficult decisions.
We must remember that political convenience today can become a national hardship tomorrow.
This is why 2027 must be an election of wisdom over anger, evidence over propaganda and national interest over political bitterness.
Continuity means preserving what works, correcting what fails, improving implementation and refusing to destroy necessary reforms simply because they are difficult.
2027: Nigeria must move forward with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not backward with rhetoric.
The future belongs to Nigerians who have the courage to build it.
