2019: Adavi Youth Consultative Congress Hosts En-Habib Abdullah

An aspirant for the Adavi constituency seat at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. En-Habib Abdullah has reassured the youths of Adavi Local Government Area of his readiness to bring the desirable representation to the people of the area.
En-Habib gave the assurance when he visited the Adavi Youth Consultative Congress, a non political group, at Alhaji Badams compound at Ogaminana.
While appreciating them for the invitation, he also admonished them to be ambassadors of peace and unity in their respective domains.
The House of Assembly hopeful cautioned them not to allow themselves to be used to settle political scores at any level.
“I am here to identify with you as your potential representative in the State Assembly come 2019, having come from Upopuvete Clan, for the sake of natural justice, I call on you people to make your choice based on antecedent and good record of every aspirant vying the position in order to be represented by a person of sound minds in all standards.
“Having consulted all our elders about my ambition, I will equally keep consulting more of our youth like you. My ambition is not about being young, is about my idea, innovation and records which I have built in private capacity as recorded in my campaign magazine,” he said.
In his response, the President of the group, Mr. Abara Salawudeen appreciated the humble disposition of Hon. En-Habib Abdullah and his philanthropic participation towards youth development, most especially in information technology, which has been going on since 2016, where some members of AYCC are currently benefiting.
Mr. Salawudeen Abara said, “the ICT scholarship program you initiated has really brought a lot of young people in Kogi central into digital inclusions, your efforts in complementing the government by bringing dividends of democracy to the people is a welcome development, it has shown your commitment on human transformation in line with the economic recovering growth plan of the federal government and New Direction of his excellency. On that singular act, we will support your aspiration, though some of us belong to different parties, but your human development strides cut across party line, we pray to Allah to bring people like you into governance for a better society in order to implement your ideals and innovation.”
A member of the association and one of the beneficiaries of the ongoing 3-month En-Habib ICT Scholarship Programme, Mr. Isah Yusuf said fifteen of their members (AYCC) are currently receiving training at your ICT training Centre as beneficiaries.
He said, having ICT knowledge is a dream come through because he has seen the future in digital skills, thank you, and I am proud of your initiative.
In his observation, the Assembly hopeful said; “as an IT professional and technoprenuer, I must ensure to support the government in contributing my quota as little as possible. As an APC member, I must complement my party manifesto, it was on this background I initiated the program in 2016 after setting up ICT skill acquisition centre in AAAMCO so that Ebira youths can be trained and certified free.
“Over 200 hundreds Ebira youths have so far been trained and passed through the training centre in batches, and some few non indigenes who reside in Kogi Central as documented”.
En-Habib, who was accompanied by some members of his campaign, appreciated the group for their support, promised that he wouldn’t disappoint them if elected come 2019.
He promised that if elected, Adavi youth would be the most ICT exposed youths in Kogi state for them to dominate business environment in the State. He opined that ICT is the only  skill that can make the children of poor to become rich if properly developed.
He used the opportunity to seek support for Governor Bello and President Buhari’s continuity. He said the Governor needs more support to right the wrongs of the past.
