Why I Choose Orphanage Home to Celebrate My Birthday/Easter – Miss Kogi

The current Miss Kogi, Olubo Folashade has disclosed that she choose to celebrate her birthday/Easter at the orphanage to draw the  attention of the people to the plight of orphans and the needy.

The Kogi beauty queen was the latest guest of MOM’s orphanage  located along crusher Felele road lokoja.

While speaking, Miss Folashade said; the best fulfilment in life is given back to the poor and the needy and the reward cannot be quantify. “I celebrated last Christmas with the sick at the General Hospital Kabba where I distributed food items and relief materials to them, I also distributed food items to the widows and the poor in my country home to show love and care for them. It’s something I derive pleasure doing “

She urged those God has blessed and  given the opportunity to always try to give back to the society as there is reward for that.

The father of the celebrant who is the secretary of Rotary Club Warri.

Rotarian Stephen Olubo said ” I am happy with what my daughter is doing today, i also love to give back to the society so am not surprised she is doing. She took after me. Every year I contribute statutory sum of $1,000 to rotary Club Foundation apart from other commitments”

Rotarian Olubo who is also a Paul Harris fellow donated N10,000 cash to the orphanage home with a promise of yearly contribution to the mom’s orphanage.

Items donated includes ; food stuff, beverages, Drinks toiletries etc.

The well attended program have in attendance, the MD of triple A entertainment who is the organiser of Miss Kogi beauty Pageant Abdulsalam Adeiza, Davidson Odudu of radio Kogi, former Miss Kogi 2012 Wuraola Gold and Miss Kogi 2013 Habibat Aliyu, Mr Oladele Nihi and host of other dignitaries.
