The Member representing Ankpa 1 constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed has called on the people of his constituency, and Nigerians to embrace peace this Easter as they commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In an Easter message personally signed by Hon. Ahmed Mohammed and released by his senior legislative aide, Prince Tijani Dauda, he urged all citizens to unite and use the season of Easter to celebrate both the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the rebirth of the Nigerian nation.
According to the statement, “As we celebrate this year’s Easter, let us move forward in the spirit of the resurrection to rebuild our nation with the values of peace and love for one another. We must show love and eschew bitterness. We must put the acrimony of the long drawn electioneering campaign behind us and come together so that we move Ankpa forward.
I pledge that our administration shall be an “Open-door policy” whereby everybody’s suggestions, ideas, shall be welcomed; we must promote harmony and unity. As we do our best to heal our land, God, the most powerful will be on our side to rescue Ankpa LGA form evil and anti-democratic forces that are pulling us down,” Ahmed Ahmed said.
