The Re-election Bid of President Goodluck Jonathan Will Be Total – Awoniyi

The support of Kogi State for the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan will be total in the February 14 general election.

Yomi Awoniyi Kogi State Deputy Governor stated this while fielding questions from newsmen at the official flag off campaign rally of President Jonathan, held at the Confluence Stadium Lokoja.

Awoniyi described Kogi State as a PDP state over the years, explained that the multitudes that graced the campaign rally was to confirm to President Jonathan that he is the preferred choice of the people for the next weeks general election.

While noting that Kogi State has made many gains it can count under the Jonathan’s administration, Awoniyi says he foresees another four year for President Jonathan that will lay the solid foundation for the socio economic development of the country.

Awoniyi described the turnout at the rally as another acceptability of Capt Idris Wada’s PDP led administration in the state, added that Kogi State like in the past remains a no go area for opposition political parties in the forth coming general election and will also be re-emphasised by the overwhelming support it will give the President in the coming election.

Awoniyi expressed happiness at the promises made by President Jonathan for Kogi State at the rally, described President Jonathan as a promise keeper, express optimism that the Ajaokuta Steel Company, the Rail lines, the Lokoja Port and others to numerous made for the people of the state will come to fruition.

The Deputy Governor appealed to those still in doubt of the party to vote for ahead the coming election to have an abiding faith in the PDP, describing the party as one that has the interest of the country and people at heart.

Awoniyi noted that the Jonathan’s Presidency has not only brought back the country on the right track of development, another four years will help consolidate the unprecedented  achievements the country has witnessed in the last four years.

Awoniyi maintained that a vote for President Jonathan is a vote for moving the country forward, said aside the fact that the country will be better off for it, Kogi state the Deputy Governor noted will have a more rewarding year under the Jonathan’s Presidency.
