The pioneer of Great Light Gospel Mission and Great Light Academy, Rev’d Omale Wisdom Abah, has called on Nigerians to reflect on the enduring love of God amid the economic hardship, insecurity and growing disregard for the sanctity of human life in the country.
Rev’d Abah, who is also the Convener of The Nigeria that Works for All, made the call while speaking to guests and well-wishers at the celebration of his birthday in Abuja on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
According to him, the realities confronting Nigerians, including the high cost of living, insecurity and the apparent loss of respect for human life, could make people feel as though love has disappeared from society.
He, however, urged Nigerians not to lose hope, stressing that the love of God remains certain and should give people the strength to continue in faith and hope.
“From all that is happening in our country—the high cost of living, the level of insecurity and the disrespect for the sanctity of life—it may look as if there is no love anywhere. But my message is that we can all be sure of the love of God. That assurance should keep us going. We should draw closer to God and make Him our hiding place,” he said.
The clergyman, who described youths as his major mission field in ministry, particularly charged young people to seek God early in life and dedicate their youthful strength to His service.
“I particularly charge the youths, who are my mission field in ministry, to look for God while they are young and to serve Him with their youthful energy,” he stated.
Speaking at the occasion, his son, Ojodunwene Treasure congratulated Rev’d Abah and prayed for God’s continued blessing, good health and success in his ministry and national assignment through The Nigeria that Works for All.
Also speaking after his elder brother, Precious Uraojo described Rev’d Abah as more than a father, saying he has been a mentor, friend and coach to the younger generation.
“You are not just a father to us; you are a mentor and a friend, our spiritual and academic coach. We celebrate you, Dad,” Uraojo said.
Rev’d Omale Wisdom Abah is the pioneer of Great Light Gospel Mission and Great Light Academy and the Convener of The Nigeria that Works for All, a civic initiative focused on promoting national unity, responsible citizenship, peace and a Nigeria that works for all.
His ministry passion is centred on bringing men and women into a closer relationship with God through evangelism and discipleship. This passion has also influenced his Christian meetings and literary works, with Rev’d Abah having authored several Christian books.
Beyond his ministry and civic engagements, Rev’d Abah is a family-oriented man. He is married to Princess Julie, and their union is blessed with twin boys and twin girls.
As he marks another year of his life, Rev’d Abah expressed a renewed commitment to his calling of pointing people, particularly young people, towards God and encouraging citizens to contribute to the building of a better Nigeria.
His birthday message ultimately centred on one conviction: even in difficult times, the assurance of God’s love should give humanity hope, courage and a reason to keep going.
