Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has described President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 as a “personal project”.
Addressing the leaders of Team Tinubu 2027 group who paid him a courtesy visit in Lokoja on Thursday, Governor Ododo cited the numerous developmental strides and strategic federal interventions benefiting Kogi State.
He highlighted key projects such as the ongoing construction of the Abuja–Lokoja–Auchi road, renewed commitment to the operationalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, approval of the Kogi Free Trade Zone, and the establishment of the Kogi International Airport.

The Governor emphasized that these initiatives reflect the administration’s dedication to infrastructure development, economic revitalization, and industrial growth within the state, noting that continued support for President Tinubu’s leadership will ensure the completion and sustainability of these landmark projects.



The high-level meeting was attended by Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the National Grand Patron of Team Tinubu 2027; Honorable James Malu Agune, the National Convener, Chief Ambassador Hassiat Suleiman, the Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Strategic Investment and Liaison with Federal Agencies, who also serves as the North Central Patroness of Team Tinubu 2027 and Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare, the Kogi State coordinator of Team Tinubu 2027.
Also present were key members of the entourage of the National Grand Patron, including former Inspector General of Police, Mike Okiro; among others.
The high point of the program was the unveiling of the Team Tinubu 2027-branded wrapper and its presentation to Governor Ododo.
The Team Tinubu 2027 delegation reaffirmed their commitment to mobilize grassroots and institutional support across the North Central region and beyond, aligning with the Renewed Hope agenda of the current administration.
