Ogori/Magongo Assembly Member-elect Dedicates Victory to Resilient Constituents

As the euphoria of his victory in the March 9th State Assembly election still remains fresh in the minds of his people, the member elect for Ogori/ Magongo seat at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Akande has described his triumph at the poll as a true reflection of the wishes of his people.

Hon. Akande, immediate past Administrator of Ogori/ Magongo Local Government Area won the  election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in a contest adjudged by observers as peaceful and transparent.

The House of Assembly member elect while reacting on his victory said he dedicates his victory to God almighty, just as he noted that, he was overwhelmed by the support and goodwill his candidature enjoyed from the teeming electorate in the constituency and attributed this to his triumph at the poll.

While promising of his readiness to ensure adequate representation of the area, he assured that he will not renege on his covenant with the people of running a transparent, inclusive and purpose driven legislative assignment.

Akande, admired by his people for his real humility, life of charity and calm mien has also lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for creating a platform for him to serve his people.

He was also full eulogies for the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Abubakar Ohere, the Chief of Staff, Chief Edward Onoja, the Administrator of Ogori/ Magongo, Hon. Goke Oparison, the Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Domestic Affairs, Kabiru Onyene Aliyu and his former colleagues, describing them as the ‘ indefatigable triumvirate’, in view of the roles they played in his electoral victory.

Just as he commended all  those, young and old, women and men who stood and ensured his emerged victorious,  Hon. Akande urged for  their prayers and support to enable him succeed in the task before him.

He also commended the resilience of his opponents, saying as brothers they are obliged in the collective interest of their people to close ranks and work together to move the area forward, assuring that he would be magnanimous in victory, as the victory he said, is for all the people of Ogori/ Magongo.
