What else do you need to prove to you that Governor Yahaya Bello is a chronic political, socio- economic liability to Kogi state and in fact, a mere and confirmed economic and social parasite to economic treasury of the state?

With his closeness and unlimited access to President Muhammadu Buhari, he cannot use such to lobby the president to sign the bill for the completion of Ajaokuta steel mill into law. In fact, many sees him as the first son of the President among the governors.

Governors like that of Kaduna, Borno, Kano and Katsina have used their closeness to the villa to attract qualitative and quantitative developmental programmes to their respective states. But Kogi is a different kettle of fish. Why, Why, Why.

Imagine when I heard that the President refused assent to the Ajaokuta Steel Company Completion Bill, I begin to ask; of what importance is Gov. Yahaya Bello to Kogites? Does he go to the villa only to discuss his personal issues and not issues that pertain to the development of Kogi state?

I still insist, of what importance is this man to us if he cannot use common sense and his lobbying skills for the betterment and development of Kogi state.

Payment of salaries has turned to Nigeria Army vs Boko haram. Infrastructural development has been thrown into the dustbin. Socio-economic development in total quagmire. It is now clear that his re-election bid is standing not on the ember of performance but that of meaninglessness and selfishness.

Leadership is give and take, i.e. leaders dish out dividends in terms of performance, while followers dish out loyalty and legitimacy. If above is considered, Kogites have no business voting Yahaya Bello come November.

We need leaders who initiate, bring and attract development to the state not political virus who infect the state with fraud, embezzlement and underdevelopment.

Yahaha Bello must go to user in development into the state.
