Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kogi State Wing, has appealed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to carry out a new recruitment exercise to address the acute shortage of manpower in the state’s educational sector.

The Teachers, during a gathering in Lokoja under the aegis of Solemn Assembly, reiterated their support for the present administration to succeed in Kogi State.

The Kogi State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, Yakubu Dauda, appreciated the present administration in the state but appealed to it to address the issue of percentage salaries for basic education teachers and other issues negatively affecting teachers in the state.

Yakubu Dauda urged teachers to reciprocate the kind gestures of the state government and advised them to shun all forms of indolence and indiscipline while on duty.
