The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, on Monday met with the 11 ward chairmen of the party in Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area as part of efforts to re-strategize ahead of the official campaign kickoff across the federal constituency.
The meeting, held in Koton-Karfe, brought together the ward chairmen and other party stakeholders to review the party’s grassroots structure, strengthen ward-level coordination, and map out plans for effective voter mobilization ahead of the campaign season.
Addressing the ward chairmen, Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim described them as critical stakeholders in the party’s quest to deliver the constituency, stressing that the PDP’s strength lies in its grassroots network. He urged them to remain united and committed to the party’s success.

“Our wards are the foundation of our campaign. The 11 ward chairmen here today represent the real strength of the PDP in Kogi/Koton-Karfe. We must work together, engage our people sincerely, and ensure that every ward is fully prepared for the task ahead,” Hon. Abdulkadir said.
He assured the chairmen that his campaign would be inclusive, issue-based, and focused on the development needs of the Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.
Shortly after the meeting, Hon. Abdulkadir unveiled his campaign billboard in Koton-Karfe, signaling the commencement of visible campaign activities ahead of the official kickoff. The unveiling was witnessed by party executives, ward chairmen, and supporters.
The ward chairmen, in their separate remarks, pledged their loyalty and readiness to work for the victory of the PDP and its candidate in the forthcoming elections. They described the meeting as timely and reaffirmed their commitment to grassroots mobilization across the 11 wards.
The activity is seen as part of early preparations by the PDP candidate to consolidate support and reposition the party’s campaign structure across the Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency before the official campaign begins.
