It caught the attention of the Kogi Central Media Crew yesterday a failed, cooked and sham in the name of a protest by some Emani Women.
It was quite unfortunate that at this era of modernity, some unscrupulous elements could descend so low to employ an archaic and unpopular means to blackmail the New Direction Government just with the intent of scoring cheap popularity and inciting the people.
We would like to notify the general public that the purported protest by some Emani Women was sentimental, clannish and supported by some agents of darkness who want to drag the name of the Governor, Okehi Administrator and Hon. Commissioner for Water Resources to mud. But by his wisdom, the peace loving Administrator felt unperturbed, refused to join issues with the women who were blind folded by some sponsors and whose sole intention was to blackmail and fuel unnecessary chaos in Ihima.
Anivasa’s article too was not a surprise as he has repeatedly shown his dislike for Okehi Administrator simply because he is not from Ihima District. We got to know the Ihima Welfare Association (IWA) President as an unrepentant chaos instigator who has consistently beat the drums of war even among the Clans in Ihima. Being disallowed to cause crisis and division in Ihima by the Council Administrator was his greatest misdoing according to old Anivasa who is poised to take his pounds of flesh in return.
We would like to remind the right thinking sons and daughters of Ihima how many times the Council Administrator, Hon. Ohiare has made efforts to avert crisis in Ihima. This we know very well, won’t go down well with clannish bigots like Anivasa and his likes who have a well prepared script to act.
Right now, the likes of Anivasa and their political cohorts in the name of making Ihima ungovernable as earlier promised by their principal, Ms Natasha Akpoti have succeeded in destroying and torching the houses of the APC supporters in Obeiba, Ohueta and Ikuehi simply because they supported their Party’s Candidate. The Traditional Rulers from those areas have suddenly gone to sleep as their sentimental scripts were being played perfectly.
The good people of Eika District whose son is the Council Administrator would never allow some ignoble sponsors of protest to twist the recent happenings in Ihima by blaming it on the Hon. Administrator as if daggers were not drawn at each other severally before.
The fear of a counter protest by Eika and some parts of Ihima as pointed out by Natasha Media quacks is never a crime and should not be scaring as the people if so decided were just trying to make their voice known to the general public.
From his reactions to issues, Anivasa could as well in his embellishments blame Hon. AbdulRaheem Ohiare for those destroyed and burnt houses during the last Ihima crisis when the latter wasn’t even in government.
Blaming the present political crisis on the Okehi Administrator is the usual hide and seek game by those who want to see nothing good about the Governor Bello led New Direction Government. The truth remains that, love and unity has been thrown to air while hate, sentiments and disorder has been buried deep in the minds of those that want crisis to engulf Ihima.
Our plea remains; while trying to accomplish their failed devilish acts, the name of the Governor and his lieutenants should be erased. And we expect the government to play her functions by ensuring that peace and order remains the order of the day no matter whose ox is gored.
At this juncture, we urge the right thinking ones to put on their thinking caps and appeal to those dragging the Hon. Administrator’s name and co to desist from inciting comments and inflammatory acts as the peace and unity of Ihima people and viz a viz with their Eika brothers is not a thing to be toyed with.
In the next one week, the Senate seat battle would have been lost and won, then, how do you manage a crisis you instigated simply because you want your Candidate to win? Of what benefit is the political crisis to you apart from the negative consequences it carries along? Hadn’t Ihima been peaceful before the introduction of the Steel Lady’s ambition? Wasn’t the recent crisis in accomplishments of the video clips where Natasha thugs requested for guns and as well vowed to attack the ruling Party supporters few days to election? Unravelling these pertinent puzzles show us the lead…
We, finally, call on the Traditional Rulers and every other sponsors of political crisis in Ihima to desist from their mischievous acts and let peace reign; as we know very well that ” behind every smoke there must be a fire”.
Let the Military too stop the compromise as doing so would only fuel the crisis than quelling it.
