A pressure group, Voice Of Mopamuro Youths (VOMY) has commended the representative of Mopamuro Constituency in the just winded up Kogi 6th Assembly, Hon. Obaro Abayomi Sunday Pedro.
The commendation came after Pedro commissioned mind blowing projects and donated empowerment packs and facilities to constituents across the ten political wards of the constituency on Friday, 31st of May, 2019.
A co-covener of VOMY, Comrade Abraham Jacob drew the need of the commendation to the group on her whatsapp platform on Wednesday.
Other members of the group who applauded Pedro are Victor Anjorin, and Ayo Emmanuel, while the entire group unanimously agreed that Pedro has performed very well.
Pedro was said to have given an open cheque to the constituents by writting to each wards, asking them the project(s) they prefferred to be facilitated and provided in their respective wards.
The projects commissioned by Pedro are:
• Two buildings of 5 rooms lock up shops for wards 01 and 02,
• 3 boreholes for ward 03,
• Clinic for ward 04,
• Corpers lodges for wards 05 and 07,
• 1 borehole each in Otafun, Igaa Fulani (between Aiyede and Takete), and Okegada Effo,
• Examination hall for ward 06,
• 2 boreholes and 1 culvet for ward 08,
• Traditional council hall for ward 09 and,
• 3 boreholes and a town hall for ward 10.
The empowerment facilities are; 30 motorbikes, 12 sewing machines, 1 industrial sewing machines, 12 clippers,12 hairdryers, 2 grinding machines, 2 buses and 6 cars.
It would be recalled that Pedro’s predecessor in Kogi State House of Assembly, Cmdr. Folusho Daniel acknowledged to the fact that Pedro performed excellently well in a statement he published few days ago.
Personal Assistant to Hon. Pedro who also contributed immensely to the great achievement when contacted on phone said the people of Mopamuro marveled during the projects commissioning.
