Kogi West: With BVAS, There’s No Hiding Place for Anybody – Karimi

The senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kogi West, Hon. Sunday Karimi has expressed optimism that the introduction of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will ensure free, fair and credible process during next month’s general elections.

Speaking with journalists during his ward-to-ward campaign tour of Lokoja local government on Wednesday, Karimi said all political parties are watching the electoral umpire closely and there will be no hiding place for anybody.

He said the reception he got from across wards shows APC is on its way to victory at the polls

Karimi, who represented Yagba federal constituency twice in the House of Representatives, assured that as Senator representing Kogi West, he will prioritize infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, education and agriculture.

He said his pedigree as a performing lawmaker makes it easy to give assurances to the people of Kogi West senatorial district that he will not disappoint them.

“By God’s grace, I will be elected senator to represent Kogi West in February. From the reception we are getting, I know we are on our way to victory.

“While assuring that the coast looks very bright for an APC victory, wants all hands to be on deck working towards an overwhelming victory for APC.

“My immediate priority is special intervention in our infrastructures. Roads are very important. As we speak, many farmers in Kogi West senatorial district can not bring their farm produce to markets because of bad roads. This will get immediate attention when I get elected.

“Aside infrastructure, security is also key to our economic survival. Our people must be secured on their farms and at home.

“So many of our graduates are roaming the streets without jobs, they deserve and will get quality dividends of democracy,” he promised.

Karimi described his aspiration as people centered with the resolve to meet the yearning and aspirations of people of Kogi West. He promised not to betray the people’s confidence that has brought him this far.
