The third day ongoing Ogidi Omo Movement Grassroots Impact Programme has recorded a very huge success as the initiative moved into the Gbede axis of Ijumu Local Government, where over 200 market women benefited from what was referred to a very huge and uncommon empowerment intervention live at the Ayetoro-Gbede Town Hall today
Meanwhile, the Day 3 program is part of the movement’s broader grassroots programme designed to deepen community engagement, provide practical support to residents, and promote initiatives that address economic and social needs at the local level.
The program welcomed in attendance the following: Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government, Alhaji Haruna Ibrahim, ably represented by Hon. Sunday Henry; Mrs. Olumoko, mother of Hon. Funsho Olumoko; Hon. Funsho Olumoko, FNIMN, PhD; Hon. Richard Osaseyi; Hon. Femi Esemikose; Hon. Amodu Abubakar (Prime); Hon. Korede; Hon. Alex Obaroku Ibekunle; Hon. Toyin Otitolaye; Hon. Abayomi Ologe, APC Chairman, Ijumu Local Government; Dr. Tope Adedoyin; Mrs. Bello (Iyaloja), among other dignitaries and community stakeholders.

A major feature of the programme was the empowerment of more than 200 market women from across the Gbede axis. The intervention was designed to support their businesses and strengthen their capacity to contribute to the economic wellbeing of their families and communities.


The medical outreach aspect of the programme also provided an avenue for residents to access basic healthcare services and health-related support, reinforcing the programme’s focus on both economic and social wellbeing.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Funsho Olumoko expressed appreciation to Almighty God and to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.
He specifically acknowledged the Steering Committee, community leaders, supporters, security personnel, healthcare workers, media practitioners, volunteers, and participants, commending their commitment and cooperation throughout the programme.
Hon. Olumoko stated that the initiative was driven by a commitment to community service and the need to create practical opportunities that positively affect people’s lives. He urged participants to remain united and committed to the objectives of the programme.
He further underscores the importance of sustained grassroots engagement and interventions that directly respond to the needs of local communities. He also disclosed that arrangements were ongoing regarding the support packages and other commitments discussed with participants, assuring the teeming population of great tiding if the incumbents at the various level from the President, governor, , the chairman and House of Assembly members are voted in in the next election respectively.
