Chairman, Subsidy Reinvestment Programme (SURE-P) in Kogi State, Chief Abdullahi Ohioma, has called on the Federal Government and National Assembly to earmark 30 per cent of SURE-P funds to youth empowerment and development.

Ohioma, who made the call in Lokoja, while receiving an award from the National Youth Parliament, said the call became necessary because youth empowerment and development have been relegated to background over the years.

He said the 30 per cent, if earmarked to the programme will help to engage many of the youths who are idle.
