On behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Kolade Otitoju, Egbo Lona I, Akinrin of Ekinrinland, we warmly celebrate the people and Government of Kogi State as the state marks 35 years of creation.
Kogi State, the Confluence State, represents a rich tapestry of diverse cultures, traditions and peoples united by a shared history and a common aspiration for progress. Over the past 35 years, the state has continued to contribute significantly to the development of Nigeria through its people, natural resources, intellectual strength, agriculture, commerce and rich cultural heritage.
As we commemorate this milestone, we celebrate the resilience, enterprise and unity of the people of Kogi State, while looking forward to a future of greater prosperity, peace, inclusive development and opportunities for our youths and communities.
May Kogi State continue to rise, prosper and occupy its rightful place among the leading states in Nigeria.
