Hon. Michael Samuel Idoko, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogugu State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has expressed profound grief over the abduction and tragic murder of Hon. Rosemary Ben Adukwu, the Councillor representing Ogugu Ward III in Olamaboro Local Government Area.
In an official condolence statement released to the press, Idoko described the demise of the local lawmaker as a devastating and collective loss that extends beyond her immediate family to the entire Ogugu community, the Ogugu United Forum, and the PDP family. He noted that the painful circumstances surrounding her murder serve as a stark reminder of the pressing security challenges confronting society.
Condemning the tragic incident, the constituency candidate stated that no citizen, public official, or mother should be subjected to such an ordeal. He emphasized that the protection of lives and property remains a fundamental responsibility of the government, stressing that every human life must be safeguarded.

Idoko extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the traditional institution, community leaders, political associates, and constituents of Ogugu Ward III, calling for unity, prayers, and solidarity irrespective of political affiliations during this period of national mourning.
He urgently appealed to relevant security agencies to launch a thorough, diligent investigation to track down, apprehend, and prosecute those responsible for the abduction and killing. Additionally, Idoko urged law enforcement authorities to scale up security operations, enhance intelligence gathering, and partner closely with local stakeholders to protect neighboring communities from persistent threats of violence and abduction.
Concluding his message, Idoko prayed for the eternal repose of the soul of the late Hon. Rosemary Ben Adukwu, asking God to grant her family and the people of Ogugu the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss while restoring lasting peace to the state.
