Kogi Speaker Mourns PDP Zonal Chairman, Barrister Kola Ojo

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has described the death of zonal vice chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Barr. Taiwo Kola-Ojo has shocking.

In a statement issued by his chief press secretary, Femi Olugbemi, the Speaker said he received Kola-Ojo’s sudden demise with a heavy heart.

He said it is shocking and sad to lose such a friendly uncle who he personally saw as a mentor while growing up in Okoro Gbede community, noting that his untimely death is devastating.

“The death of Uncle Kola is a personal loss looking back at the days I lived with him at age 17 wherein he used to be one of the people that brought me up,” the Speaker said.

He said the family and Okoro Gbede community has lost a rare gem who was committed to the mentorship of the upcoming generation and their development.

Kolawole stated that it is very sad and painful to lose a love one that is dear to him at a critical time as this but he urged the family to take solace in the words of God which says there is time for everything under the sun; a time to be born and time to die, praying that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

On behalf of the Kogi State House of Assembly, the Speaker commiserated with the Kola-Ojo family, Okoro Gbede community, Ijumu Local Government, Okunland and Kogi State over the demise of an accomplished legal luminary, a community developer, lover of sports and politician.
