Member representing Ankpa I in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawal Akus has commissioned the remodeled slaughterhouse and borehole in Ankpa.
While commissioning the projects on Monday, the lawmaker appreciated his constituents for their cooperation over the years, citing resilience as a major reason for the success story his constituency has recorded over the years.
Hon. Akus, who commissioned this laudable project on Monday have continued to draw commendations from far and near who see him as a true servant of his people.

He emphasized the need to keep a healthy environment, particularly the areas that concern food consumption as they have direct effect on public health.
The lawmaker said his visit to the stakeholders in slaughterhouse motivated him to renovate the place with key features including complete drainage of the environment, motorized borehole, standby power plant, tiled slaughter arena and expanded arena for meat processing, thereby improving the hygiene of the environment.
He thanked leaders and the present executive of Ankpa local government slaughterhouse for their immense cooperation for the project to see the light of the day, adding that Engr Ismaila Berger’s constant support, motivation and encouragement will never be taken for granted.

Hon. Akus further thanked His Royal Highness, the Ejeh of Ankpa, Alh Abubakar Sadiq Ahmed Yakubu, and all the invitees for honoring his invitation and restated his commitment to doing more for the people of Ankpa 1 State Constituency.
The commissioning exercise took place in two phases with the Ejeh of Ankpa leading the commissioning of slaughterhouse, while the Chairman of Ankpa local government, Engr Muhammed Yahaya led that of borehole.
