Kogi Innovation Commissioner to Collaborate With Technology Incubation Centre in Lokoja

Kogi State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Adeniyi Aderibigbe Helen has promised government collaboration with Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) Lokoja.

Dr. Aderibigbe made the promise when she led a team on a visit to the centre on Wednesday.

She applauded the Centre Manager, and all the staff for their contributions to the state especially in the area of small scale entrepreneurship and their efforts to support the economic growth of the state.

The commissioner said one of the greatest achievement of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo was the creation of the Ministry of Innovation Science and Technology, and therefore, assured them of the governor’s readiness to grow Kogi State to an enviable height with technological innovation.

She applauded the entrepreneurs in the centre for their efforts and assured them that her office will collaborate adequately to ensure that the request for improved electricity supply will be looked into so they can operate effectively and creates more jobs for the unemployed youths in the state.

Recall that the Centre Manager, Technology Incubation Centre Lokoja, Engr. Bodunwa Omoniyi last week led a team of staff to congratulate the commissioner on her appointment and pledged to work in synergy with the new Ministry.

The Center Manager explained that the centre was created by the Federal Government and Kogi State Government has a lot to gain collaborating with the centre.

According to him, the centre has enormous potential in the areas of nurturing start-ups, providing enabling environment for commercialization of product, encouraging research and development for value addition as well as providing necessary capacity building for the teeming unemployed youths in the State.

He further reiterated that the state government assistance is urgently needed to brace up other development plans for the actualization of the center’s mandates.
