Kogi Gov’ship: Yagba West Should Take Lead in Campaigns for Ododo – Pius Kolawole

Council Chairman of Yagba West local government area of Kogi State, Hon. Pius Kolawole, has charged All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in the area to double their efforts head of November governorship election in the state.

Kolawole gave the charge during an all inclusive stakeholders meeting at the local government party secretariat in Odo-Ere on Monday.

He said Yagba West should take the lead in the campaign for the APC governorship candidate, Alh. Usman Ododo.

The Council Chairman thanked party members for their commitment to the success of APC which led to the victories recorded in the 2023 general elections.

He specifically emphasized on the progress and achievements recorded in Yagba West under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello and the need to sustain and improve on that, under the incoming administration of Ahmed Ododo.

He promised to set up Crisis Identification and Resolution Committee that will be saddled with identifying where there are issues with a view to resolving them.

Speaking, Otunba Tunji Aro who in his own speech gave a new party slogan developed by the people of Yagba West as “A..P..C, No Vacancy In Lugard House”.

Aro expressed his delight over the unity that existed within the party in Yagba West, however, he pleaded that the contribution of Yagba West to the party should be adequately rewarded.

Other speakers, including Hon. Timi Joseph, Hon. Femi Abolaji, Hon.(Mrs). Deborah Oshatimehin, Hon. Segun Alegbe, Mr. Richard Aina, Mrs Nike Ajayi and others who in their separate goodwill messages, commended members of the APC in Yagba West for their steadfastness and loyalty to the party, urging them to sustain such.

The meeting resolved to commence ‘house -to- house’ mobilization for Ahmed Ododo forthwith.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Eunice Balogun; SLG, Chief Kayode John; Chairman Elders Forum, Hon. Korede Alabi; all elected Councilors, all the state and local government appointees, local government executive, ward chairmen, ward youth leaders, ward women leaders and other party loyalists.
