Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali has urged the people of the area not to lose sleep over the verdict ‎of the Federal High Court as he will appeal the judgement.
Aidoko, in a statement issued by the media office, debunked the rumour that he will vacate his seat before the court hears his appeal.
He said the verdict is not final as it will run through to the Supreme, the final arbiter.
The Federal lawmaker thanked the people of the area for the support showed both at his residence and ‎the court promising not to sell their mandate no matter the gang up.
The senator said he is not unaware ‎of high level plans to mortgage the destiny of the people of Kogi east,promising to be the last man standing to protect and preserve the interest of the people of the area
Senator Aidoko cautioned the people of the area to be wary of ‎unwholy political alliance and association bent on conceding the social,political and economic emancipation of the area to another extraction,using the Igala race as a platform to achieve cheap political goals
He said the judgment of the FHC was the opinion of the judge meant to deepen the sustainance of our nascent democracy,stating that no amount of sacrifice will be too much to bail out the people of kogi east from the shackles of poverty and underdevelopment
He appealed for continuous support of the cause of the people of Igala/Bassa nation,promising a people oriented representation in all ramification
