In a major show of unity and political strength, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has led a delegation of top All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains and candidates on a massive thank-you tour across the Kogi East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The consultative movement is organized in honor of the Kogi East APC Senatorial Candidate, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, who is reaching out to party structures and key stakeholders following his nomination.
Accompanying the Deputy Governor on the tour are the three APC candidates for the House of Representatives in the district: Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims (Ankpa Federal Constituency), Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna IJN (Dekina Federal Constituency), and Hon. Victor Uchola (Idah Federal Constituency).
The entourage also features a robust assembly of party heavyweights, including former and serving members of the National and State Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, Local Government Council Chairmen, political appointees, community leaders, and thousands of enthusiastic party faithful.
The delegation is visiting all three Federal Constituencies comprising Kogi East to express profound gratitude to local executive members, elders, and grassroots supporters for their unwavering loyalty and commitment to the ruling party. Beyond a gesture of appreciation, party officials noted that the tour serves as an early mobilization drive to solidify the APC’s dominance and consolidate internal cohesion across the eastern flank of the state ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The tour highlights the party’s strategic readiness and unified front under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as campaigns gradually gather momentum across the state.
