When an official government document makes your argument for you, the wisest thing a commentator can do is present it and step aside.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC Nigeria) has published its Final List of Candidates for the 2027 National Assembly Elections, certified by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony. Every candidate submitted their qualifications under the weight of Nigerian electoral law. The commission verified and published what it received.
In the entire Kogi East senatorial field of seventeen candidates, one man alone submitted a Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma to INEC. That man is Abubakar Aminu Suleiman of the ADC.
The APC candidate lists WASC. The SDP candidate, who famously challenged whether certain aspirants were qualified even as marketing personnel, lists FSLC and SSCE. INEC has now answered his own question. The PDP candidate lists Certificate of Primary Education and Senior School Certificate.
And this is only what INEC’s format captures. QS Aminu’s full formation includes a Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Nottingham, an Organizational Leadership Diploma from Oxford’s Saïd Business School, and Executive Programs at Harvard Kennedy School and London Business School. He has managed over one billion dollars in infrastructure projects and chairs the Board of Kaduna Electric across four states.
The voters of Kogi East asked for verification. INEC has provided it.
A record of qualifications. A track record of impact.

The Igala nation has never lacked excellence. In 2027, it must not lack the courage to elect it.
