Kogi Central Market Women Pays Solidarity Visit to Gov Yahaya Bello

Kogi Central Market Women Association have expressed unconditional support for the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello.

This was made known during a solidarity visit to the governor in his home residence at GRA Okene.

The Chairperson of the Association, Hajiya Khadiza Ahmed Ogirima told Gov. Bello that they were solidly behind him and very proud of him for entrenching peace and good governance in Kogi Central and the state in general, and assisting traders in the state grow their businesses.

Hajiya Khadiza said that the peace Bello has enthroned has trickled down to everywhere in the state, especially Kogi Central senatorial district.

She emphasized that Gov. Bello has not only entrenched peace in the state but has also enhanced security, stressing that he has equally utilized the lean resources of the state to provide critical infrastructure.

The Association also lauded the state government for being consistent in championing equity, balance and harmony among the adherents of the three major tribes in the state.

She maintained that the market women in Kogi Central have resolved to work for Gov. Bello’s re-election in 2019 and all APC flag bearers because he is our messiah, a God-sent leader, the only and true governor, who knows where it pinches the traders and the poor masses.

“Your excellency sir, the reason why we are here is to thank you and also tell you that whatever you want in Kogi Central as it concern traders, we will give it to you double. We have come to say to you that there is no vacancy for any other political parties come 2019, we are solidly behind you and all APC flag bearers in Kogi Central.

“We market women in Kogi Central make up a majority among voters. I can assure you that we have our voters cards, and with this support and our continued prayers, victory is definitely assured for Gov. Bello and all APC candidates in this general election,” he said.

Alhaji Yahaya Karaku, who was present at the occasion, thanked the leadership and members of the market women for their overwhelming support and urged them to be more dedicated that the new direction administration will not leave any region, associations or groups untouched.

Responding, Gov. Bello thanked the Kogi Central Market Women Association for their support, solidarity and prayers, assuring them of his resolve to continue to serve the people of the state with the fear of almighty Allah and to improve their living standard.

He further highlighted the on-going projects across Kogi Central and promised them of more dividend of democracy.

Bello urged the women to come out in mass to vote President Muhammed Buhari and all other APC flag bearers in forthcoming 2019 general elections.
