The Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Yunusa Halidu Adazaki, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of former Governor Ibrahim Idris (Baba Ibro), describing his demise as a monumental loss to Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Hon. Adazaki extended his heartfelt sympathies to the immediate family of the late governor, the government, and the people of Kogi State.
He emphasized that the death of the former leader is a great loss to the state and the nation, noting that his contributions to the political and infrastructural development of Kogi State cannot be overstated.
Hon. Adazaki stated that Governor Ibrahim Idris was a father figure to many young people in the state, adding that his legacy of service and humility will be difficult to replicate.
“Gov. Ibro is the best Governor Kogi State has had after the return of democracy in Kogi State. His impact was felt across all the 21 local Gov’t in Kogi State, and his leadership style was exemplary,” Adazaki said.
He further noted that Baba Ibro’s name will forever remain in the nooks and crannies of Kogi State. According to him, the late governor’s legacy of peace, unity, and development will continue to resonate in the hearts of the people.
Hon. Adazaki prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed leader and urged the family to take solace in the fact that Baba Ibro lived a life of service to humanity.
