Kogi Central 2015: Kabiru Atta Picks Labour Party Senate Ticket

Kabiru Onimisi Idris-Atta has picked the Labour Party’s Senate ticket Kogi Central senatorial district.
The young advocate of positive change was today confirmed by the party as the senate candidate for the forthcoming senatorial race.
Kabiru is from Kuroko 1 ward, Adavi LGA Kogi State. 
In his acceptance speech, Kabiru decried the continuous neglect of his people by elected  and appointed leaders. According to him, “for far too long, the people of Kogi Central Senatorial district’s aspirations, socio-economic and political needs have been ignored by those who they elected to represent them at the Federal and State level. I am fully aware of the needs and aspirations of the people of Kogi Central Senatorial district and I strongly believe I can use the people’s mandate positively to reverse the current socio-economic and political retrogression we are experiencing as people of Kogi Central Senatorial district.”
“My political ideology is simple; Equity, Justice and Fairness – these three principles underpins who and what I am about as a person as I seek your support as the Labour Party Senatorial candidate in the forthcoming election.
As an advocate for positive change, Kabiru formed two non-governmental advocacy groups called Change for Nigeria Initiative and Nigerian Youth Alliance for Democratic Transformation.
In his mission to pursue and deliver positive change for the people of kogi State and Nigeria, Onimisi Atta contested for the House of Representatives Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency  in 2011 election and was unsuccessful.
Kabiru Onimisi Atta is a graduate of Information Technology and Business Management. In his quest for further academic feathers, Kabiru earned post graduate certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship and Executive certificate in Leadership and Management. He has over 10 years work experience in both private and public sectors organisations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His working experience spans top-rated organizations such as Abuja Technology Free Zone Company (FCTA), National Population Commission, Royal Bank of Scotland, Dell Incorporated, Acadia Group, IDT (Europe) Telecommunication company. Currently, he is managing his own business in the consultancy and information technology space.
“I passionately believe the good people of Kogi Central deserve a Senator that is effective and can actively represent their interests at the National level. My drive and hope is to focus on the issues confronting the people of Kogi Central through open and active community engagement and representation in the National Assembly. I will be hands-on, accountable, and transparent as I actively get involved in committees and groups which would enable me deliver strong and lasting democratic dividends to the people of Kogi Central”, he said passionately.
He urged the good people of Kogi Central to support Labour Party movement and support his aspiration for a better tomorrow.
